The Pleasant Grove Middle School Cheerleaders recently took top honors in a Summer camp.
The girls attended the National Cheerleader Association Camp in Ashdown, AR from July 23-25.
The press release from the school district goes into details on just what the group achieved:
They learned safe stunting practices, routines for the year, and engaged in team-building activities. The team earned the following awards for the week during formal and informal evaluations: the Spirit Stick, a Superior Ribbon for Cheer and Chant, a Superior Ribbon for Final Evaluation of Cheer and Chant, the Stunt S.A.F.E. Award, a National Championship Bid, National Federation of State High School Squad Credentials, and First Place for NCA Top Team Chant.
16 Pleasant Grove Middle School Cheerleaders were nominated for All-American. Hali Hargrove, Hailey Hallen, and Ema Allen were selected for All-American. Grover mascots Riley Davis and Roy Smith received the Spirit Stick, Mascot Prop Artist, Most Creative Mascot, and Most Improved Award.
The Pleasant Grove Middle School Cheerleaders are under the direction of Shane Riddell.
