A veteran of the Texarkana Texas Police Department has retired from the force.
The department has announced the retirement of 23 year veteran Detective Brian Purcell. He has worn many hats according to the department’s facebook post on his retirement:
Detective Brian Purcell retired yesterday after 23 years of service to our community. Earlier in his career, Brian worked as a traffic officer on a motorcycle. However, he has investigated white collar crimes for the last several years and became the “go-to guy” in our department on those types of fraud cases. He really knows his stuff. With his retirement, we are losing a great investigator, coworker, and resource.
